Marvel’s Avengers Announces Story Trailer Date With Hi-Tech Costumes – CBR – Comic Book Resources

A still from an upcoming trailer for Marvel’s Avengers has Earth’s Mightiest Heroes sporting new costumes.

A new trailer for Marvel’s Avengers game will debut next Wednesday as part of the War Table stream. The event will take place via livestream and feature new information on story missions and demonstrations of co-op gameplay.

The game’s creative director and writer Shaun Escayg posted the news on Twitter, along with a new image from the game. « The team’s just closed out this trailer. We can’t wait for the fans to see it! » Escayg wrote. The image features Thor, the Hulk, Black Widow, Ms. Marvel and Iron Man; Widow and Marvel are sporting hi tech armor, while Thor rocks gold armor. The official Marvel’s Avenger Twitter account revealed that the shot came from the story trailer.

Marvel’s Avengers finds the team disbanding after a cataclysmic event called « A-Day, » which seemingly results in the death of Captain America. Five years later, the team reunites, gaining a new member —  Kamala Khan, aka the shapeshifting Inhuman Ms. Marvel. Other playable characters include Black Widow, Iron Man, the Hulk and Thor.

Developed by Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics, Marvel’s Avengers will be available for Stadia, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 4.
